As the year 2025 comes to an end Safar's chapter now comes to a close.

Safar was created as a handcrafted, reusable alternative to the single-use plastic bags required for carrying liquids onboard flights. Designed to hold multiple 100ml containers, Safar offered more space than conventional plastic bags while meeting international airport security regulations through its size and transparency.

Our mission was to give travellers a simple yet elegant alternative to disposable plastic, while celebrating Indian craftsmanship — particularly the unique design heritage of Jaipur, Rajasthan.

But most importantly - each Safar bag was handcrafted in collaboration with the women of the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation, from traditional block-printed fabrics to the final tassel detail.

While Safar was always meant to travel the world, this chapter now comes to a close. We have made the decision to close the company and conclude its operations.

Thank you to the amazing woman at PDKF and everyone who supported Safar and carried it along their journeys. 🤍
